Richard Mascall
Rick Mascall has served as the Revenue Operations and IT Division Administrator at the Idaho State Tax Commission since January 2021. He oversees customer records, fund collections, tax return processing, IT development, and IT operations.
He started with the Tax Commission in 1997, where he held multiple positions with increased levels of authority and responsibility. In 2005, after completing graduate school at Boise State University, he left the Tax Commission to pursue commercial opportunities. He gained experience in accounting, external reporting, internal audit, and management consulting with Fortune 100 and 500 companies domestic and abroad. In January 2021, he completed a work assignment in Saudi Arabia and returned to the U.S. with his family.
Rick resides in Boise, Idaho, with his wife, Angela, and their two sons.
Greg Busmann
Greg Busmann is the Bureau Chief of the Income Tax Audit Bureau at the Idaho State Tax Commission. He has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Boise State. An Idaho native, he has been with the Idaho State Tax Commission since 1998.
Philip Johnson
Philip Johnson is a Tax Research Specialist at the Idaho State Tax Commission with expertise in sales and use tax. He's responsible for answering questions and helping people solve their tax problems. Philip enjoys making sales and use tax understandable to taxpayers and professionals through research and education.
Philip began his career at the Tax Commission as a Tax Auditor in 2016. Before joining the state, he worked as a retail auditor for Albertsons and spent 15 years as a small business owner. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Boise State University.
Outside of work, Philip loves to travel and volunteer at his church's foodbank. He lives in Boise with his wife and their two dogs.
Shanna Deitrick
I am an Idahoan born, bred, and raised in the Twin Falls area, and I am also a proud Air Force Veteran. I have been with the Tax Commission for 19 years, and a Field Office Manager for 13 years. I worked as Manager in the Twin Falls Field Office before transferring to Boise in January 2020.
