Thoughts from ISCPA Chair Scott Taylor
As Chair, I continue to be impressed by the value ISCPA provides to Idaho CPAs through advocacy, education, student outreach, and professional connection. Recent work on pathways legislation is a strong example of what can be accomplished when our board, staff, and members work together. Our three full-time employees do an exceptional job supporting the Society’s programs, legislative outreach, CPE, communications, and member services, often behind the scenes.
Our profession is changing quickly, with new technology, AI, regulatory demands, and business challenges affecting every firm. Even so, accounting remains a people-driven profession. Technology can help us do the work, but it cannot replace judgment, trust, mentorship, or genuine care for our clients and staff. ISCPA gives us a place to share ideas, learn from one another, and move forward together.
