Day 1 - August 11: Leading your Evolving Firm: Essential Practice Management Ideas

Join fellow CPA firm leaders for an interactive workshop focused on building a stronger, more future-ready firm. We’ll explore the value drivers that increase firm worth, create a shared strategic vision your leadership team can execute, and learn how to lead purposeful evolution before disruption dictates your direction. You’ll also sharpen revenue management with practical KPIs for the modern firm, use integrity as a powerful culture-building tool, and leave with clear, actionable decisions — including what you will stop doing to free capacity for what matters most.

    Topics:

    1. CPA firm value drivers
    2. Creating a shared strategic vision for your business
    3. Leading evolution so evolution doesn’t lead you
    4. Revenue management and KPIs for the modern firm
    5. Using integrity as a culture building tool
    6. What will you STOP doing?

Day 2 - August 12: Moving from "Best Practices" to "Next Practices"

    • 8:00 - 9:30am - The Value Billing Journey
      • The shift from hourly billing to value-based pricing in accounting represents a significant evolution in how services are valued and charged. Join panelists Matthew Goodfellow (Sorren) and Courtney De Ronde (Forge) as they share their stories of their firm's experience along the path from hourly billing to value billing.
    • 9:40 - 11:10am - Moderated roundtable
      • Join ISCPA Executive Director Laura Lantz for a discussion about what's on your mind - submit your questions early to cpe@idcpa.org! This is your chance to share what's on your mind with your fellow attendees. Ask them what they think about what's keeping you up at night or what they think is the next big thing.
    • 11:15am - 12:15pm - Accounting/Finance Students & Young CPAs Q & A
      • In today's rapidly-evolving business landscape, the perspectives of young professionals and aspiring CPAs are invaluable to the future success of accounting firms. This presentation aims to highlight the crucial insights and innovative ideas that young CPAs and students bring to the table, addressing key areas that firm leaders need to hear.
